Bene Gesserit

Luke keeps telling me the Bene Gesserit from Frank Herbert's Dune books were based on women like me. (That's Sci-Fi Nerd for, he thinks I'm awesome.) I have to take his word for it that it's a compliment. In the past I've joined him in reading his Sci-Fi series. I drew the line at Dune. ...but did not draw the line when naming our son after Ender Wiggin.

Luke and I were watching TV last night and saw this. We had to re-watch it to make sure we got it right. ...We did. Hail to the V!

Getting Older

Today I was sitting on my cellulite, plucking my grays, and looking at my wrinkles AND zits, not feeling cute at all.

Then later while pushing a giant cart of food through Costco with only 2 kids in tow, the cutest old lady caught me and said, "You look too young to be a mommy." I almost hugged her.

7 Years and Still No Itch

Happy Anniversary to Us! After much trial and error while dating, I figured out what is truly important in a man... and no, it isn't a full head of hair.  I found exactly who I wanted, married him and he is more than I even hoped for. We both feel so incredibly blessed. Cheers to another amazing 7.

My favortie part of Mother's Day...

was last night as I was about to fall asleep, Luke turned to me and said,

"Thank you for making it so I don't ever have to wonder what a great marriage would be like."

(dang.... he's good.)

Cat Lady

"Raegan, what's your life's dream?"
"I want to be a cat lady. You know, one of those ladies who has lots of cats."

I guess that's good. At least it's very unlikely she'll end up disappointed with her life.
